Mary Seal

Hello! My name is Mary Seal. I am the school reading specialist/literacy teacher at Brentwood Middle School and Brentwood High School.

I teach the 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th-grade Literacy Workshop classes at BMS and the Academic Literacy class at BHS. I enjoy working with students and watching them learn and grow as readers and human beings.

I graduated with a degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1985, I earned my Master's Degree and Reading Specialist Certification at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2005, and I am currently working on my EdD in educational practice at UMSL.

I have two daughters. They are both currently students at St. Louis University. My oldest daughter is a senior majoring in physical therapy and my youngest is a freshman majoring in occupational therapy. I am anticipating that they will be able to take good care of me in my old age!
